A bare garage slab soaks up oil, dusts constantly, and stains from everything that drips off a vehicle. A coated floor solves all three. It seals the concrete, gives you a surface you can actually mop, and turns the garage into a space that feels finished instead of leftover.
Most garages get a full flake system: ground concrete, a pigmented base coat, flake broadcast to refusal, and clear topcoats over the top. Where a faster return to service matters, polyaspartic topcoats cure quicker and handle temperature swings better than standard epoxy, which is useful in unheated garages during colder months. Solid color systems are available when you want a simple look, and metallic is an option for garages doing double duty as a shop or hangout space.
Roll on kits fail because they skip preparation. We diamond grind the entire slab to open the pores, cut out and fill cracks, patch spalled areas and pitting, and address any oil contamination before coating. Control joints get treated so they do not telegraph through. If the slab shows signs of moisture coming up from below, we test and address it, because trapping vapor under a coating is what causes bubbling and peeling a year later.
Garages in Chelan County see snow, road salt, and gravel dragged in all winter, then hot tires all summer. Hot tire pickup is the classic failure of thin coatings, where the tire literally lifts the coating off the slab. Ground preparation plus a properly built topcoat is what prevents that. Once the floor is coated, meltwater and grit rinse or mop off, and de-icer does not sit in the concrete eating at it.
A typical two or three car garage is a one to two day install. You will need the floor cleared out ahead of time, and we handle the rest. Walk on it after about 24 hours and park on it after roughly three to five days depending on the system and the weather. After that, sweep, damp mop, and pick up spills. Put a mat under a jack stand or a welding table and the floor will look the same in five years. We handle this work in Chelan, Manson, Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Leavenworth, Quincy, and Moses Lake, and we also travel across Washington for larger projects.

Not when the slab is ground properly and the topcoat is built for it. Hot tire pickup and salt damage are what happens to thin roll on kits applied over unprepared concrete.
