Patios built for how you use them
Before we form anything, we talk about furniture, grills, hot tubs, shade, and where the sun lands in the afternoon. A patio that is two feet too small never feels right, and one that slopes back toward the house creates problems every time it rains. We set the size and the slope first, compact the base, reinforce the slab, and pour with the joints laid out so the pattern looks intentional instead of random. Fire pit pads, hot tub pads, and grill areas can be poured thicker where they carry more weight.
